After the disband of Medd & Shaw, Menage A Trois, and Dorian Gray, Dorian emerged simply as Dorian M.
Writing songs since the age of 13, Dorian collaborated with lyricist Jo Nichols (author & creator of the children''s series of books Cackleberries) and penned dozens of songs, four of which made it on to Dorian M''s new EP CD, "Soft Touch" on Riser Records.
Recorded at Waterstreet Sound in Vancouver, Canada, Dorian attracted the attention of Canada''s famed producer, Guy Sobell, formerly of The Chessmen and producer to Disco Queen Denise McCann (now married to Randy Bachman of Bachman, Turner Overdrive) to produce the EP.
Jamie Bowers, guitarist and keyboardist, of the Canadian rock band Chilliwack, along with Vancouver drummer extraordinaire Darryl Burgess, bassist Mike Lent, and vocalists Sally Vinge and Wendy McLachlan, provide the driving, stinging force behind Dorian M.
The song Automaton was the basis for an avante garde rock video that premiered on Vancouver''s legendary alternative music TV show Soundproof and went on to herald in an age of experimental independent music videos.
