MP3 FRANK S. BOYD - Swing Times Gone By

Loungey keyboard-driven jazz

9 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Ballroom, JAZZ: Piano Jazz

Details:
This album comprises melodies composed within the past 15 years with some as recent as the autumn of 2007.

The tracks "Beyond Katrina" and "Francois de Paris in New Orleans" are emotionally connected. The latter is about a happier time when Frank went on stage one evening in New Orleans under that pseudonym. The former is in recognition of the great resilience of those victims of the devastating hurricane many of whom were his friends and acquaintances and how so many of them were able to cope with their misfortune and remake their lives.

"Manifestly Heroic" is about the common man in the south who became a statistic with little known about his heroism and endurance both during and after the hurricane. The "Dayna" (Dana) composition was inspired by Dayna Hammond, an up and coming young Canadian singer, who will soon be known far and wide for her great voice, talent, beauty and personality. This composition was composed on or about the 18th August 2007.

"An ode to Emma" came about as congratulations to the antics of a three year old''s daily ritual, pretending to deal in perfect confidence with grown up problems.

"The Soggy nite in Portland" and "Five South" are interconnected and were composed during a period when Frank was involved with some business transactions in that area. These two melodies and "Emotional Exit" need little further explanation and I leave to the listener to use his/her imagination.

People who are interested in should consider this download.
