Gold Tooth was formed in the fall of 2006 as a response to the pretentious singer/songwriter scene emerging in St. Louis. Gold Tooth’s vision was to create a sound that paid homage acts such as AC/DC, Motorhead and Helmet with big guitars, thunderous bass, powerful drums and commanding vocals. The original line-up included Jeff Gallo (guitar/vocals), Willie Pelly (bass) and Brian Hilgert (drums). The band’s debut album, “Ghetto Blaster” was recorded and released in late 2007. Several songs, including Weight of the World, Repent, Engine No. 9 and Gold Tooth, receive airplay on nationally recognized rock radio staple KSHE-95 and local alternative radio station KDHX 88.1. In 2008, Joe Meyer (drums) joined Gold Tooth, bringing new energy and talent to the band. Gold Tooth plans to tour regionally and record new tracks this year.
