"MEDITATIONS" is recorded by well-known Canadian - Latvian performing and recording artists: Indulis SUNA - violin and Ilga SUNA - keyboard Yamaha PSR 500.
Indulis SUNA was born in Riga in 1950 and he first studied violin at the Music School and College in Jelgava. Indulis continued his studies at the J. Vitols Latvian State Conservatory in Riga, where he received his BA and MM degrees. From 1979 to 1982 I. Suna completed his post graduate course at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory with Prof. Dm. M. Tziganov.
Indulis Suna was a first violinist of the Latvian State String Quartet and a soloist of the Latvian State Concert Organization (Philharmonia) as well as held violin teaching positions at the J. Vitols Latvian State Conservatory in Riga.
Together with his wife, pianist Ilga Suna, he has played and recorded a number of world premiere compositions and many composers have dedicated they works to him.
Ilga SUNA was born in 1949 in Latvia.
She first studied piano at the local Music School in Limbazi.
After graduation Ilga continued her music studies at the Jelgava Music College, where she met violinist Indulis Suna.
Between 1971 and 1976 Ilga completed her BA and MM degrees at the J. Vitols Latvian State Conservatory.
During her studies Ilga Suna performed at many recitals together with her husband Indulis, and after graduation began an extensive careere as pianist, piano teacher and accompanist at the Jaz. Medins Music College and J. Vitols Latvian State Conservatory.
Over the years Ilga Suna together with her husband Indulis have played and recorded a number of world premiere compositions (P. Vasks, M. Einfelde).
While in Canada Indulis and Ilga Suna have recorded and released 20 CDs and 5 DVDs with different styles and programs.
For the last 16 years these recordings have been broadcasted all over the world by Latvian State Radio, Radio Budapest, BBC and CBC radio.
Both artists work for Toronto’s most prestigious Music Agencies and are available to perform at private and corporate events,concerts, weddings, anniversaries and any other occasion.
