At the tender age of 7, Kelli’s Mother taught her to play a walking bassline with her left hand (popularized by Walter Page from the “swing” era) since her hands were too small to reach the customary octave and 10th’s. Over the years Kelli has cultivated and perfected her left hand into a truly awesome and unsurpassed bassline, coupled with gyrating piano rides & a push driving rhythm (needed to really “swing”) Kelli is the foundation and backbone of her band, “the Swing Kings.”
With gyrating leads (PIANO POUNDIN''), a pulse driving rhythm (RHYTHM ROCKIN''), couple with an unsurpassed walking left handed bassline (BASS KICKIN'') THAT IS ALL LIVE, Kelli''s signature style “swings,” in the truest definition of the word confirming her to be the one & only,

2 Cups - Louie Prima,
1 stick - Count Basie,
1 rounded teaspoon - Frank Sinatra,
Vigorously stir in 3 Tablespoons - Jerry Lee Lewis
Top with Sprinkles of - Little Richard,
Spoon into Lace doily and served on a Silver tray

After working on a tribute show to Roy Orbison in Wink, Tx., with R&B legend, Carl Perkins, Carl took notice of Kelli’s unique piano style tagging her, "the Queen of Swing," now a registered trademark.
“Honky Tonk Swing” is a fabulous collection of those Rock-a-Billy, piano styles reminiscent of Little Richard & Jerry Lee that become, “Swing-a-Billy” when play by the Swing Queen.
Kelli received an “Honorable Mention” from Billboard for her R&B original,“The Way Love Use to Be”.
But this is not the first time Kelli has been recognized in R&B. She has worked and recorded with several Rock-a-Billy & R&B legends, as notated in the album liner of Mercury Recording artist, “Mr. Action” Roy Moss. Released by Warner Bros. German affiliate, Eagle Records, Kelli is on 11 of the 18 cuts. She also played piano on a couple of cuts by European legend, “Groovy” Joe Poovey.
We are very excited to announce that we have 4 never released cuts by Roy Moss from a 1997 session. Kelli is working on some new material to make a full CD that will be a commemorative & tribute to Roy. We are hoping for a September, ‘08 release, the 10 year anniversary of Roy’s death.
