FEEDBACK AND AIRPLAY:

"Very cool - very fresh!! Will play!" -- Lord Litter (Europe''s indie-only DJ, heard on CyberStorm, Radio Marabu & other stations.) Thanks Lord! Due to Mr. Litter''s "Roots" leaning, he''s probably playing "Takin A Vacation (From My Medication)".

Thanks also to https://www.tradebit.com, which has just added "I Live In My Head."

"beautiful pop album... sounds much like Al Stewart... Dylan-influenced songwriting..." - Mark Hanzlik, The Eugene Weekly.

MORE INFO:

Burning My Cashmere, Guy Ridley''s second release, is already getting some play and great reviews, just weeks after its initial release. Guy plays all the instruments on these tracks, which range from pop and rock to folk/blues.

When he isn''t writing and recording new songs, Guy can be found in local (Eugene, Oregon) venues playing straight-ahead jazz piano or dropping into Planet Goloka for an hour or more of sitar improvisations.

SONG NOTES:

"I Live In My Head" has the most "wall of sound" backing including a sitar track (recorded through the Marshall setting on a PodPro.) This one seems to be a DJ favorite.

"Takin A Vacation (From My Medication)" is a bluesy tune with lots of slide guitar and timely comments.

"Nineteeth Morning" is an acoustic ballad, another listener favorite.

"Take Me To the Execution" is a simple folk tune, a story with a twist, and a chance for some rhythmic interplay between guitar and dulcimer.

"She''s So Last Week" is a lighthearted rocker with a retro, George-inspired ukelele solo.

"Don''t Let Me Blow Away" started out bigger, but at the last minute Guy distilled the arrangement down to nothing but guitar, bass, and drum-brushes-on-denim, which perfectly frames the introspective lyrics.

"Burning My Cashmere 2": This happy, hummable tune, with 3-part harmony and electric 12-string power chords, rounds out the collection.
