It is said a lot about Russia: good and bad. The funniest thing is to listen to the foreigner who has met "the wrong Russian" or speak about the country while they have never been there. First of all for the foreigner Russia is a cold country where people drink vodka to get warm. Foreigners also mention beautiful women, Lenin, Gorbachyov and Putin (thanks to the TV), Russian mafia and bears that walk along the Russian capital. Of course partly there is something true. But lots of things are false.
Let''s start with the fact that little Russians are left in Russia. That''s why speaking about Russian mafia is wrong. It will be correct saying that this "mafia is from Russia", but consists not only of Russians.
Not everybody drinks vodka in Russia... Because now you will read about a man who lives in Russia, doesn''t drink at all and creates Modern Rock. By the way there are no bears in Moscow.
Sergei "Enot" was born on 21 February 1977 in the heart of the cold Russia. When he was seven years old he started playing piano with a private tutor. In five years he was supposed to pass the last and the most important exam in his life. That day he was standing in a line near the room, where the exams were held. The exam included several parts, and to that day he had passed some already. But through the door he saw a father buying good mark for his daughter and he realized that there wouldn''t be a fair game. That fact made him forget about passing the other parts of the exam and quit music. During the year teachers had been calling him asking to come back. But that year and the following one he spent outside the music.
Year of 1992 This boycott stopped when his Uncle bought him Russian percussions, to which he devoted the next two years. That is how appeared the first band in Sergei''s life, nameless and formed from his schoolmates. The rehearsals were held in the kindergarten where his friend''s Mum worked.
1992-1995. During this period of time together with the bass guitarist 3 great death metal and grindcore albums were recorded. One of it was thrown out the window. At that time Sergei participated in the band as a drummer and the vocalist.
1995-2001. After meeting by chance his old friend and x-classmate also called Sergei there was established the first band that attracted the attention. It was called "You-Know-What".
At that moment Enot participated as a vocalist in another band - "Epilepsy Bout". Later on the band became the best among hardcore bands. Take into account that before that the band played Death metal. "You-Know-What" reminded of such bands as "Clawfinger", "Down Set" and "Pantera".
At the earliest stage of this project Roman "Divan" took part in it. In 1997 he invited Sergei in his electronic project as an MC. This was probably the first non-commercial band in Russia that was estimated by the public as the most successful in the genre of Breakbeat Electronic - Punk.
In 1999 the band participated in supporting the idols of this genre on the stage - Prodigy. Five video works were done and two albums recorded. Those were "Cod-liver oil" and "Pro-test". They were on top of Russian hit parades and performed with Guano Apes, HIM, Apocaliptica, Chamba wamba, Prodigy, Antiloop. "The Spirals" collaborated with the famous trademarks such as ADIDAS, Killer Loop, Quicksilver, Play Life. Also they worked with the computer and equipment sponsors. Unfortunately the sound-recording company Krem Records, where the last album was recorded, strangled the project as well as its artists.
Later on the company collapsed. While participating in the "Spirals" about 20 hours of music in the style of dub, down tempo, electro, ambient were recorded by Sergei "Enot". Nothing from this music has been released till today.
In revenge for the Krem Records the second album of experimental music was recorded. Its name was "Golden everyday". You wouldn''t call this music actually. The company agreed to release the album not realizing that 5000 copies would be sold. Eventually the company stopped its existence. And each of "The Spirals" started doing its own business.
Year of 2001
In 2001 during the collapse of the company the first song for "The Stress" "Sphinx" from the demo CD "Astro" was recorded. Krem Records thought it was a good song, but Sergei decided not to record the song in this company, because he saw how they treated their artists.
In the period of 2001-2004 were recorded the other songs for demo CD "Astro" including the cover version for the song "Confide in Me" by Kylie Minoug. With this demo CD the band participated in different festivals in Moscow and https://www.tradebit.comersbourg. On their own they shot a video for the song "Tete-a-tete". All the concerts were recorded and finally the musicians again on their own had arranged a concert clip called "We were - are not". But unlike "Tete-a-tete" this video wasn''t shown by Russian MTV. But the above mentioned clip video is rotated by several channels such as NEO TV, O2TV, A1TV."The Stress" took part in radio programs of Moscow and Spb. About 10 000 copies of "Astro" demo CD, dated 2004 were sold. Since 2005-2006 as for the previous album "Enot" himself writes the materials for the next one called "Key to your heart", but in his own studio already.
There was an art video shot for the song "To face the silence", which was not for the rotation on the TV channels. It was shot partly in Moscow and Switzerland.
Since 2006 "Enot" as an independent artist in cooperation with Arina "Lizard" (his manager) is sponsored by VIVASAN.
In the period of 2006-2007 Arina "Lizard" is working at the band promotion in the USA
There will be 17 tracks offered for consideration to the record labels. Sergei is cooperating with "PRO-sound Music" in Moscow, while making mixing and mastering of the album "Key to your heart".
Year of 2007 Band''s name The Stress" was used to the end of the year 2006.
But beginning with the year 2007 the name of the project was changed to the "Millions of years" due to the procedure of protecting the project''s name as a World Trade Mark.
