Throughout his short lifetime, Nicolas King has done more than adults in the same industry. Starting at age 2, and professionaly at age 4 1/2, Nicolas King has been singing and performing in the big leagues. Appearing in 3 Broadway shows, "Beauty & The Beast", "Hollywood Arms" & co-starring with Tom Selleck in "A Thousand Clowns", King has appeared on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "The View" with Barbara Walters, as well as numerous award-winning commercials, and special appearances throughout the country. King has worked with some legendary artists such as Carol Burnett, Linda Lavin, Hal Prince, Andrea McArdle, Tom Selleck and toured with Liza Minnelli, just to name a few. King has also had the pleasure of meeting and performing with Ben Vereen, Chaka Kahn, Michael Jackson, Julie Andrews, Lauren Bacall, Brian McKnight, Mya, Rosie O''Donnell & Jerry Lewis, among many others...
Nowadays, out of school and working as much as he can, Nicolas released his new CD (Oct. 2007) "Blame It On My Youth", a compilation of some of his favorite Jazz classics. "It''s so hard to choose your favorites, and narrow it down to 12! There''s just so many great songs out there, how do you pick?", King says about his choice of songs. The selection includes the classic "I Get A Kick Out Of You", George Benson''s latin "Masquerade", the tender "When October Goes", jazz standards like "On The Street Where You Live" & "Day In, Day Out", the sultry version of "How Deep Is The Ocean" with an upright bass, and a throwback to the Big Band Era with "Mack The Knife", "My Mammy" & "Rockabye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody". This CD is sure to capture your attention with the first cut "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?" and keep it until the end!
Note one accolade from legendary Carol Burnett:
"Somewhere way back in time (maybe in another life) Nicolas was infused with the genes of Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Steve Lawrence and Liza Minnelli. At that time, the powers that be stirred them up and out came the(now very young) voice of Nicolas King. I can''t wait to hear him when he hits his stride in a few short years. This kid is amazing."
