"Classical ElecTRONICA" artist and Ensenada, Mexico native, 22 year-old Perla Nava, established her musical roots at the tender age of 6. Raised in Los Angeles, Perla sang in her church choir and performed in school events and musicals. With a unique cocktail of early influences including Paul Anka, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and her mother''s favorite Spanish-language artists, she established a deeper appreciation for music than most of her peers.
Her musical influences now include an eclectic mix of contemporary (primarily independent) artists such as Bjork, Imogen Heap, Emmiliana Torrini, Jem, Royksopp, and Radiohead. Perla''s current signature single, "Where", shows her emerging maturation as a songwriter and performer. Her growth continues working with accomplished producers such as Dave Norland (Madonna, Sly and Robbie, solar twins) and Bao Vo (Ming and Ping). She also is a collaborator and co-conspirator with buzz-worth bands Fndmntl and Mela Roos, as well as still singing in her church choir (Oasis). Amazingly photogenic with a brand of star-quality cut from the same cloth as Selma Hayek, Perla''s light shines from her heart through an intriguing style of music that enchants as it entertains.
