Details:
Rena Scott’s smooth ballad “Remember” is currently the most requested R&B song, #1 downloaded ringtone and stayed on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Single Sales chart for 18 weeks as well as cross over into the Pop Charts. The single is from “Let Me Love You,” (Amor Records), a collection of romantic ballads that makes for the perfect backdrop to hot summer days and balmy nights. “The songs on this album reflect my growth through experiences,” Scott says. “All of these songs tell the story of love, life and the truth that in love there are good times and bad times. These are the things I’m passionate about, and are the feelings I write and sing about.”

The one time backup singer for Aretha Franklin and featured performer with The Crusaders shares her heart in "I Know It''s Right" and her soul comes out in
"A Love Thang."
The Detroit diva began her singing career as a lead vocalist in the church choir and started singing professionally at the tender age of 13 performing with The Temptations. Soon, she was opening up for The Temps, Four Tops and The Originals.

While performing with the Four Tops, Scott was discovered by a local production company who signed her to a contract. Her first record, “I Just Can’t Forget That Boy” debuted, to rave reviews, while she was still in high school.

The Queen of Soul recognized her vocal talent and Scott became a backup singer for her idol…Aretha Franklin. Their five-state tour ended at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall. “It was beyond my wildest imagination, the lights, the orchestra, the feeling of singing with her after loving her music for so long,” says Scott. “But it wasn’t just an amazing opportunity to sing with her, it fueled me musically and spiritually for the rest of my life. I vowed after that one night that I would come back to perform at Carnegie Hall.” Scott walked proudly on to the stage at Carnegie Hall, making that vow a reality, when

she sang “Take Me, I’m Yours” with vocalist/bassist Michael Henderson.

Scott left Detroit to accept an offer to entertain at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. A major European tour followed as the opening act for The Crusaders and sharing the stage with legends George Benson and Natalie Cole.

In addition to performing live and recording albums, Scott lends her support as a national spokesperson for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. This is a cause that close to her heart and one that she, herself, is all too familiar with.

SOUL SURVIVOR
It was a test of Faith, Endurance and Determination that helped Scott survive the difficult times in her life. Music helped her through the tough times and it is what resonates with her audience. The wounded often make God''s best soldiers. "There is Joy after the Pain, says Scott, "As a little girl, music was my outlet, and it continues to be an integral part of my emotional and spiritual survival."

Scott''s immense talent, passion for life, and shining spirit has taken this lady on an incredible journey and the story continues in her music.
