My name is Tiniffia. I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York, the home of Biggie (Notorious B.I.G) and Jay Z. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life. I am Jamaican and Guyanese. You can hear the two different cultures reflected in my music. I have a cool, laidback kind of personality. Some say that I am out going, and have a great sense of humor.
My hobbies are writing music, singing, and playing basketball. I always try to have an overall good time. I also like having positive people with positive energy around me as much as possible. I take that positive energy and apply it directly to my music. I am so focused right now on my music and my love for singing that everything I do is centered around it.
My love for singing is very strong. My love for music and talent was discovered when I was about six years old. I started singing in the church. When I was six, the thought of being a professional singer did not really cross my mind, because I was so young. I just knew this was what I loved to do and had fun with it. It did not run through my mind until I was eight or nine years old when I started to listen to Brandy, Mary J. Blige and others that inspired me. Then I encountered this producer and CEO of Fortunate, inc. Kirk. Since then I have realized that I wanted to make singing my career. Music is my comfort zone and my first love. If I am stressed or angry, creating and singing new songs makes it go away, and if I am in a good mood, it only makes it better. I prefer to write my own songs and what I write depends on how I feel and what I am going through when I am writing. Although some of the songs I write are not necessarily from my own life experience. I might see what someone else is going through and write what he or she is feeling. My music is versatile which everyone across many genres can relate too.
R&B is in my soul. Every breath I take in is rhythm and my exhale is the blues. My inspirations in music would have to be Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, and Beyonce Knowles. These women definitely paved the way for me and other artists. How they portray a certain message in a song and their vocal ability style. I am still developing and growing as an R&B artist.
Singing and song writing is what God has blessed me with and I am going to use it to my full ability and more I will not be stopped.
