Nominated for 17 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (7 for best keyboardist) Tyler draws his skill from classical training, years of touring, playing national showcases, the WAMIS, Summerfest (the county’s largest outdoor music festival), and opening for such acts as the Indigo Girls, Matthew Sweet, Iggy Pop, Kansas, and Bad Company, as well live radio performances and regular airplay on New Rock 102.1, WIIL, 91.7 WMSE and many internet radio stations. If Ben Folds played more like Phish and less like your grandma, he''d sound like Tyler Traband. A classically trained musician, Traband has been winning awards (Wisconsin Music Industry awards that is) for his intense, unconventional style.

Hey, Fearless fans! SouthSide has frequently heard the popular rumor that nothing good comes out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin except for beer, sausage, and polka. Tyler Traband’s performance at Chicago’s Elbo Room certainly silenced these wagering tongues. This Sunday Tyler Traband amazed the crowd with one hot power pop rock set. SouthSide was eager to check out Tyler Traband’s live show after listening to two tracks off his “Re-Issue” EP. Tyler Traband, and his fellow band members truly impressed SouthSide with their funky pop music.
