When asked by Fans to write a Concept Album dealing with the Modern Political Age, this period of quasi ineptitude and veiled mystique--that surrounding the Administration of George W. Bush--THE VIRGINIA CITY REVIVAL responded by crafting "A FAREWELL TO GEORGE W. BUSH & HIS ADMINISTRATION."
"Some Say Dick Cheney rules the Underworld,
Some Say Dick Cheney is Beelzebub,
But I aint seen his Horns and I aint Smelt his Breath,
I aint been shot in the face with his shotgun pellets,
I aint been to his secret mountain hidout escape,
But I know he runs on batteries which keep his
Heart at Pace." ("Dick Cheney" track 2)
All songs on the album were written or inspired by fans, and all of the songs are Kitchy and Comical Gems. Songs like "Dick Cheney" and "Robin Hood of the 1 %" echo traditional country roots, while tracks like "George Don''t Do the Google" and "Toby Keith (Is an Alien)" are more rocking like a comical Texan ZZ-Top-Punk-Rock Breakfast Buffet of Satire. Then there is the standout Country Hip-Hop number "Bush Wackin''," wherein Bush is asking himself and the world "They All Just Wackin on the Bush...but WHY?"

In the classic balls-out Rock N'' Roll number "The Babies," George wishes he were a young man so he could party with his daughters who like their daddy "like to dabble in Cocaine."

Then of course there is "CONGO LISA," the hooky Johnny-Cash-Disco number that is an encomium/love song to Condoleeza Rice from George Himself. The “Congo Lisa” music video became an instant cult classic on youtube after having been premiered on MTV in FEB 2008 during the JACKASS TAKEOVER.

In contemporary Hip-Hop fashion THE REVIVAL is even “Beefing” with Toby Keith, Keith Olbermann, Bill O’Reilly, Michael Moore, Michael Brown…they all get ridiculed and are called-out to respond.
There’s the Heart-felt Pole-dancing Love-Song to Laura Bush from George titled “The Sweet Rose of Laura’s Bush,” and then the tear-welling track about a boy who lost his mother to Hurricane Katrina (“The Legend of Michael Brown”)
This is an extremely well executed Concept album that will keep on giving; it is an album that is completely apropos for giving a "FAREWELL" to George W. Bush & His Administration." So “DO IT FOR AMURICA” and Join THE VIRGINIA CITY REVIVAL in both looking "HATE RIGHT IN THE FACE," and waking up this Comatose World!
