First of all, it's important to reach your customers on a personal level. Doing so helps build a relationship between you and your customers, and means they're more likely to buy from you. Try to refrain from blasting your subscribers with sales messages from the beginning of the email series-instead, use the first email primarily to explain who you are, and what you plan to offer with your emails. There's no harm in adding a sales message to that first email, but don't make it the focus.

If you were selling a product on your squeeze page, for example, you can use the thank you page to resell the product. Third and finally, don't inundate your subscribers with a flood of emails. You might feel tempted to send daily messages in the hopes of attracting more interest and more sales, but in fact, this is one sure way to turn potential customers off. A weekly message is fine, but sending out emails too frequently is actually a good way to overwhelm subscribers and induce them to opt out of your list.
