Bride in Legend is the second solo album of Cold Fairyland’s singer and founding member, Lin Di. Many of these songs have become staples of Cold Fairyland’s live shows, but here they are scored with more traditional Chines instruments. An epic tale of a young girl''s journey to an arranged marriage becomes a quest of her own destiny as she travels though fantastic lands. You will be treated to vocal acrobatics in Mountain Song of the Highlands, and an enchanted consultation with the oracle in Riddle in Bronze Mirrors. From the simple, heartbreaking beauty of Yilang Yilang to the wild gallop of Mula Shabel War, this is a vivid and magical journey like no other.
One small note:
A mistake in final production inverted the order of the final two songs. The liner notes of the CD list Colorless Sun as nine and Heal the Wounds of Time as ten. That is the order Lin Di desired. But on the CD Heal the Wounds of Time is ninth, before Colorless Sun. The song order listed here is the order they appear on the CD.
