Toronto based Jay-T and Slimmstarr known as Frozen State are the latest Hip Hop act to hit the Canadian market. The twin duo were born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, Ontario as well as in North Carolina, USA. Living in various countries, allowed the two brothers to embrace several music cultures which enabled them to develop and craft their own distinct sound. Both Jay-T and Slimmstarr discovered their passion for music while they were both in their teens. Creating, writing and having produced their own original masterpieces by the age of twenty. In the summer of 2004, Frozen State recorded their first seven song self titled CD. Their Second album "The Attack Of The Clones" was released in 2006, was more of an experimental album where the duo worked more on improving their production skills. The album featured the underground hit song "Summer Time" which featured the songstress Luizzy. In 2007 they released their critically acclaimed Invasion promo CD, and plan on releasing the Invasion album in the summer of 2008. Having a career in music is their life long goal. Their influences include several well known acts such as: Bone thugs-n-harmony, 2pac, Talib Kweli and Busta Rhymes. The "Nature Of Power" is the next big, full length album from Frozen State which is coming soon.
