The Buffalo, NY based Stone Hearts formed in late 2005 to fuse several musical styles into a new breed of power folk. With Paul Isaac on lead vocals and guitar, Brendan Fitzgerald on drums, John Gusky thumping away on the bass, and Greg Skulicz on the lead guitar the band combined everything from country to punk (think Bob Dylan meets Radiohead meets Ryan Adams). Thus, The Stone Hearts sculpted a sound that was both true to themselves, and able to grab the attention of their audience. Isaac’s lyrics present a ‘so-motional’ (a combination of social and emotion) awareness while blending stories with life experiences.
