Common Knowledge''s music is too upbeat for ambient, but to the left of jazz. The songs include driving rhythm based soundscapes, jazz textures, and solo piano ballads.

All songs were written, performed and produced by Roland Hall, a/k/a Common Knowledge. "Welcome Back To The Big Time" is the first release of Common Knowledge on the indie label Magic Cat Music. All songs emphasize the human touch, and sequencers play a minimal part. The goal of Common Knowledge is to combine electronica and jazz with strong, persistent melodies. Roland lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been playing synthesizers of various vintages for over 20 years.
