I was influenced as a small boy by my brothers, Arnold & Wallace Jenkins. This eventually led to the forming of the Jenkins Quartet which has had several different singers over the years.
This group would appear at churches & gatherings though out the surrounding counties.
They also had some appearances on radio stations in Knoxville,TN and Waynseville, NC. I was a member of the square dance band at Fontana Village, NC for 2 seasons prior to serving 4 years in the navy. During my Navy career I had a band in San Diego, CA. at a place called "Rancho on Broadway". After a long break from music, while raising a family, getting an education and making a living, I formed a band called the Steele Creek Ramblers. We appeared at private parties,colleges,retirement centers and church gatherings. The Group is still active. I have been writing songs & poems since I was a teenager. Hope you enjoy some my songs on my CD.
