Tomorrow, released in 2002, features Chris Maresh on bass, Steve Snyder on piano and Brannen Temple on drums. This the first collection of original jazz by Grammy-nominated composer and bassist Chris Maresh (pronounced MARSH), who has performed in venues ranging from small clubs to theatres and outdoor stadiums in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.

Chris has performed live with: Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald and Pat Simmons of the Doobie Brothers, Terrio Bozzio, Willie Nelson, "Fathead" Newman, Ellis Marsalis, the Austin Symphony and the Laredo Symphony. Chris has toured with Eric Johnson (rock), Abra Moore (singer-songwriter), Kelly Willis (country), and Monte Montgomery(singer-songwriter), and many others. Chris remains a sought-after session player in Austin, where he has recorded with artists including Grammy winner Eric Johnson and Grammy nominee Marcia Ball. Chris played on the soundtracks of Spy Kids 2, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and on music appearing in Michael, Happy, Texas, and Sliding Doors. Recorded performances include Austin City Limits shows with Monte Montgomery, Kelly Willis, and Eric Johnson, with whom he also appears on the DVD of the Eric Clapton 2004 "Crossroads" concert.

In 2002, 2005 and 2006 Chris was named "Bass Player of the Year" at the Austin Chronicle Music Awards at the SXSW Music Festival.

In 2001 his composition, "Rain", was nominated for a Grammy award - best performance of a pop instrumental - on which he played with Eric Johnson and Billy Maddox (Alien Love Child). Soon after the release of this first jazz CD (Tomorrow)in 2002 his first string quartet (Two Stars) was performed by the Tosca String Quartet. In 2003 his first tangos were performed by Glovertango, and in 2004 a piece for string quintet, piano and percussion, called Silent Movie was premiered in a performance with Terry Bozzio on percussion, Steven Barber on keyboard, Chris on acoustic bass together with the Tosca Strings at the One World Theatre in Austin, Texas. In 2005 Chris released a second collection of original jazz, called "side street". In this collection, the fabulous Sam Lipman on tenor sax joins the Chris Maresh Trio featured on Tomorrow.

Chris toured with Eric Johnson for much of the latter part of 2005 across the US, in Japan, Europe and Asia and playing more of his own tunes with Eric Johnson & Tommy Taylor in the classic power trio. Spring of 2006 he toured with Eric Johnson opening for Joe Satriani on the Supercollosal tour.

2008 finds Chris playing jazz under his own name, doing production and session work, and performing every type of music in Austin and around the country. Look forward to hearing more from him!
