Heitor Castro says about each tune:

Bach(iao) - l wrote this tune in 92 when i was studying in LA. Everybody that was into fusion was using baio, but very few knew it is a Brazilian rhythm. So I decided to write a peace to tell ,in stage, something about the region and the people that created Baiao.
It came from the Northeast of Brazil witch is the poorest area of our country so I tried to tell this story and I kept two thing is focus; THE SUFERING. people dying of starvation in the sun that never rests (they spend years waiting for some rain). In spite of that, they show a unbelievable faith and they are very, very RELIGIOUS.
The baiao has already a hard mood and the melody played in fourths highlights that tension . Also i wrote a bachiana (a composition in the style of Bach) to show this religious side. Bach wrote for church his entire life, so naturally ,his music is very Spiritual.
Also you can hear the Oludum (the powerful) percution at the end of the tune) witch comes from the Northeast of Brazil to.

L.A.-RIO - About the happiness of coming back home, seeing my friends and family.
Outuno - A simple composition but very special to me. It touches me for it''s straight to the heart beauty. l was in doubt about other titles for this song; Crystal Clear or Transparent. l feel this tune very much related to this ideas. lt''s a great pleasure to play it in the dark, try to listen to it this way.
Fogo e Agua - (Fire and Water) - One of the most complex works (rhythmic and harmonically) of this CD. it''s the first of a collection of musical translations of the elements.

Prana https://www.tradebit.com.-Emanent Energy, Energy of All things .Prana is about how I lived my personal experience with this energy that surrounds us.
First using 11/8 bars and a minor harmony to express the way i felt it''s presence: intangible, mysterious. Recently I became used to live it and feel it very clearly, almost touchable and discovered a source for well-being, satisfaction and joy as is shown on the Chorus in 3/4 using a major harmony. Prana is one of my favorites compositions for it''s density and power.
A Danca do Sol - (Sundance) - It''s hard to talk about this tune because I don''t really know its subject... it''s a very short story:
From one minute to the other I had the whole tune in my head.
Was one of the most impressive things that ever happened to me. Was
like a download from somewhere and that''s it! Melody, Harmony AND ARRANGEMENT all ready from one second to the other! So... this tune was made in my room... but I was not the one who wrote it!

A Musica da Noite no Deserto - (Desert''s Nigth Music) .This tune and To the Light (A Caminho da luz) is played in two acoustic guitars (one Steel - one Nylon) and the tuning of both of then is different of the usual guitars. This was a experience that went right. l tried to change the tuning of the guitars so I wouldn''t know a thing. Then I would have to compose it all by intuition. Sometimes, when you study a lot, you know a way to connect the chords, progressions that will, for sure, sound right. But I wanted something really new. Even the sound of a major chord sounds different, check it out.

As Luzes - (The Lights).Written for all the fantastic moments I spent with
unforgettable friends in Thomaz Green Morton''s farm. The things ive seen and lived there will be forever in my heart. RA!

The Opening Window - Wrote it for the same subject of Prana One of my greatest prides is related to this tune and its not Troffe or award...
Some time ago, I was in TOM JOBIN`S living room and I started to play. At some point of this tune Tom passes thru me came back, made a short pause and said:That is beautiful... Young man!

I will never forget that moment. l dedicate this tune to the greatest name in Brazilian Popular Music. We, musicians, thank you. Tom, for everything that we learn even without noticing! The great ones are like this... l simply can not realize how much I learn from your legacy. For so wide it is, it mixes with music history itself.
