Joshua Price is a musician with a crazy history leading up to the release of his new album, Motion Sick. Joshua began writing the songs off of this album the night before his wedding on August 8th, 2008. The night before his wedding he wrote the absolutely beautiful song entitled "We''ll Be". His brother Scooter was in town for his wedding and died tragically in a car accident leaving the wedding to go back home. The night before Joshua''s brother, Scooter died, Scooter had asked Joshua to promise him that Joshua would write a song with Scooter''s lyrical poetry. When they found the items left to Scooter after the car accident there wasn''t much, but one item that was left was a small peace of paper with a poem written onto it. Joshua took this piece of paper and wrote the song "Last Breath". "Last Breath", is the only song co-written on the entire album and Joshua is very proud to have written a song with his brother Scooter. Amongst the sadness in Joshua''s brothers death and the happiness in Joshua''s newlywed status came a huge move from his home-state of Florida to a very unfamiliar place of Houston, Texas. This move proved to be a great one because Joshua wrote the abundance of the songs for his new album "Motion Sick" in this transitional period of his life. "Motion Sick" is the title track and also a summary of the move from a familiar place to a place Joshua had never even visited. Other songs about this transitional movement in Joshua''s life include "Stuck in the Middle" and "Hallelujah". The incredible thing about most of these songs are the multiple meanings amongst them. For instance, the song "Stuck in the Middle" is also about trying to follow your dreams and goals but also fighting against what the world says is normal. Joshua''s hope is that amongst these songs, you as a listener can feel a part of this music and gather your own meaning amongst your own life.
Aside from the new album Joshua has been very busy with music. Joshua currently works at the 2nd largest church in the nation, Second Baptist Houston, playing music full time. Joshua also plays in the community at venues such as The Meridian, Ecclesia, Numbers and other premiere venues. Joshua was also on the top 50 of Americas Got Talent last season for Vegas Week.
