Dan Bárta is one of the most talented Czech vocalists, who has a very distinctive voice, and an artist who manages to incorporate rock, musicals, funk, blues and jazz into his musical style. With the release of his first solo album
"Illustratosphere" Bárta embraces the jazz world and starts an intimate new journey.
Dan Bárta began his singing career with "Alice" a rock band from Plzeň. Which released three albums in the first half of the 1990´s and became a sensation in the growing post Velvet Revolution Czechoslovak rock scene. At that time Bárta also joined an all star project called Die https://www.tradebit.comphant formed by Czech musicians which also released an album.
Bárta kept on searching a further several months, and later he joins the Czech version of "Jesus Christ Superstar" which has become the most succesful musicalś on stage in the Czech Republic. Bárta played and sang roles of both
Jesus and Judas in numerous performances.
Another musical success the role of Che in "Evita" followed. Recently Dan Bárta has been singing in a funky formation Sexy Dancers (Czech Grammy Award for the best newcomers in
1998) and in a similar project called J. A. R. that has become the top live act in the Czech Republic. In their fiveteen years of existence J. A. R. have created not only the wild "funky party music" sound, gained thousands of
devoted fans and released four successful albums, but the distinctive voice of their singer in particular, his contribution and charisma elevated the band to the top of Czech pop.
Dan Bárta was awarded 8 Czech Grammy Awards for the best male vocalist...
In 2000 six musicians inclouding best vocalist from Czech Republic established solo project called ILLUSTRATOSPHERE and recorded first album under this name.
Till now group have three of studio cd''s and one live cd.
