In the early fall of 2000 Alexandra Pajuluoma and Martin Berglund decided to form the band ”The Story of Arden”. Their ambition was to create music with prominent string arrangements. The band’s sound became a mixture of rock, folk and pop music enveloped by a dreamy and melancholic atmosphere.
In 2002 The Story of Arden recorded their first five track demo, which received favorable reviews in the Swedish music magazines ”Groove” and ”Musiklandet”.

In 2002 the first chapter of Dreams of Dusk came to an end when The Story of Arden disbanded. The second chapter began in 2003 when Dreams of Dusk was actually formed. The core members Martin and Alexandra were joined by several new members in the perpetuation of their signature sound. After years of writing songs and performing live the band recorded a collection of nine songs in 2006. One of those songs, ”Losing My Faith”, was featured on the Swedish compilation album "Shine On”, released by Mister Suede Records.
All nine of the songs were then released as the album ”In the Distance” in the summer of 2008.
