7 CONTINENTS VIA THE INTERNET. MAURICE LEADS THE WAY WITH SOARING, PASSIONATE AND THOUGHFUL SAX AND FLUTE.

Maurice completed studies at Boston''s Berklee College of Music in Composition and Performance. He also received a National Endowment For The Arts scholarship to study under Jazz legend Lew Tabackin. Of his first CD “Jazz Sunrise” Billboard Magazine said “Maurice is a man to hear.” In addition to leading his own band, Maurice is a featured soloist with The Marcelo Berestovoy Band (Marcelo tours, writes and records with Latina superstar Paulina Rubio), New Pacific (a band that combines Indonesian and other Asian music with Jazz) and is Music Director/performer with “The Hues Corporation” (Rock The Boat) All of these groups are on the new CD.

In 1988 he opened his recording studio Maurice Gainen Productions in Los Angeles’ trendy Silver Lake district. Since then, he has produced, recorded, mixed and mastered too many CDs to count in all genres including Jazz, Alternative, Rap, R&B, Rock, Broadway and World Music. He has also played flute and/or sax on many of these CDs. He does CD Mastering for all of the 5 major record labels and his recent credits include over 85 CDs for Starbucks.
