Details:
Out of the Ashes is a hard-working band from outside the Los Angeles area in California. Myself(Matt W.) and John Holloway(drummer)had played in various bands while we were in high school. Aaron Summers joined the band later on. We all left California to go to Alaska to work on the fishing boats to make extra money. It was in dark, cold, abandoned trailers in the middle of forests, that we used for shelter from the endless rain, that the bulk of this album was written. We are now trying to set up for live gigs and get our sound "out there" for people to hear. We like the raw, tribal-like sound of the acoustic guitars and the darkness that acoustic instrumentation can project. Black Acoustic shows our range of melodic ballads to heavy rhytm tracks, and our second album will be even heavier. We''re definitely not the type of band to ever enjoy most top 40 hits. There is so much excellent music out there that never gets any play or attention while music and radio stations keep playing the same boring tracks day after day. We hope you like it!!
