Details:
Undeniably talented ILEANA showcases her powerful voice and songwriting savvy in her new release from Reality Chick Records, "Super Ordinary Girl." See what the critics are saying:

* Voted ''Best Musical Production-Adult Contemporary'' for the song "Barely" by the New Mexico Music Industry Awards

* Voted ''Best Female Vocalist'', ''Best Songwriter'' and ''Musician of the Year'' by the Weekly Alibi

* Honorable Mention in Billboard Song Contest for the song "I Would''

* Finalist for ''Best Song'' for the song "I Would" by the New Mexico Music Industry Awards

ILEANA''s music is as diverse and beautiful as the New Mexico desert she hails from. With a pop voice reminiscent of Jewel and Dido, she sings sultry ballads like "Unworthy" and "Better Than Okay." Her vocal versatility shines through on songs like Secret Sunshine and What R U So Afraid Of where hints of Michelle Branch and Sheryl Crow come through. With a voice described as ''electrically charged velvet,'' she creates music that has already garnered a large fan base in the Southwest. ILEANA continues that trend in her current home of Los Angeles by performing songs that reflect unflinching honesty. "Super Ordinary Girl" captures their characters in the moment of awareness- this is who I am right now, for good or bad- and that bare emotion is evident in her voice and lyrics.

ILEANA began her professional career singing lead vocals with the band Ulterior Motive. Despite successful appearances on the radio (104TheEDGE, 94ROCK) and in the EDGE Fest music festival, they disbanded just before they releasing their second LP titled "8minutes and 30 seconds." ILEANA expanded her musical background by fronting the group Passion/Aggression with D. Whitten. This punk group released a two song demo in April (1997) comprised with Whitten''s "I Had Another Nightmare" and "Cassandra Speaks," both of which enjoyed radio airtime (104The EDGE).

ILEANA developed her solo set and began playing coffeehouses and other small venues to a rapidly growing audience. Encouraged by her bolstering fan base she recorded a four-song demo in September (1998.) She assembled a talented group of musicians to record her first solo full-length release "Miles To Go" which was released in September (1999.) ILEANA continued to perform in intimate coffeehouse and bookstore settings as a solo acoustic artist while promoting her band and energetic stage show in bars and larger venues. "Miles to Go" received radio airplay in local request shows and Ileana was asked numerous times to perform on local radio programs (103Peak, KUNM, KBTK) and music festivals (Thirsty Ear Music Festival, PEAK Picnic, Weekly Alibi Fall and Spring Crawls).

ILEANA took her acoustic show on the road throughout the Southwest. Each venue brought more fans to her music. Her audience includes fans from across the country and as far away as Italy and England. The storytelling in Ileana''s second full-length release, "Counting Stars As They Fall captured the imagination of the listener and then freed it to explore avenues undreamed of. "Counting Stars As They Fall" is a kaleidoscope of emotion with songs like "Before You Knew" which captures the panic and joy of a budding relationship and "Barely" which is reminiscence at the realization that a relationship is over. As mentioned previously, "Barely" has already received recognition from the New Mexico Music Industry Awards by being named the ''Best Musical Production'' in the Adult Contemporary category. "I Would," another song from this CD, was nominated as a finalist in the ''Best Song'' category.

With numerous awards and tours behind her, ILEANA took the advice of industry professionals and relocated to Los Angeles, California. To celebrate her impending relocation, she released "Playing Solo" in December (2001,) a compilation of live performances from a variety of acoustic venues in her hometown of Albuquerque.

After building a Los Angeles following and honing her craft even more, she began work on her third full length release. ILEANA teams up with producer Peter Torsiello, whose credits include Third Watch, That 70''s Show, to record brilliant performances which showcase her vocal strength and subtleties while staying true to her powerful storytelling. They worked in his Southwest studio of The Red Room in order to capture on tape that desert longing which is ever present in her voice in live performances. "Super Ordinary Girl" delivers an incredible work of songwriting and performance that prove that nothing about Ileana is ordinary at all.
