Two years ago...

I collaborated with some of the best musicians in the nation to launch an album of songs I had written during high school. With the help of Amy Sauve (mentor and lead singer of the former band Blush), Tony Hamera of Tempermill Studios, we have finally completed Timeline (it''s about time.)

The album carries you through the thought-processes I had as a teenager growing up in metro-Detroit. The first track was written in my first few months of high school, the last track was written around the time I graduated. I finished recording the vocal tracks three days before I moved to New York City.

Charles (Chuck) Bartels laid down solid and creative bass lines, helping to give this album a sound of its own. Chuck is a Detroit bass legend, but has played all over the world including venues such as the Conan O''Brien Show. His licks on Time Line are effortless and smooth.

Bill Higgins played drums for the project. His creative genius and jazz background contributed immensely to the sound. Most tracks were done in one take, and therefore have a somewhat improvised feel, without being repetitive and dull. He really shines on the track "The Other Side". "All About Jazz" says, "Bill Higgins is one of the most sought after drummers in the Detroit Area"

Nick Stone is responsible for the amazing saxophone licks you will hear in "Dreams Don''t Lie", "Happy Birthday Girl", and "The Other Side." Currently on tour with R&B artist Neyo, Nick has been the top saxophonist in the Detroit circuit for years now. He has performed all over the nation now, and his career is only just beginning.

Then there''s me. I laid down all the keyboard and vocal tracks for this album. I also wrote the songs. Amy K. makes an appearance in "Where Are We Going" and her sultry voice adds immensely to the sound. The music is very clean, with the piano as the focal instrument. It rests on the four corners of pop, jazz, rock, and soul.

Thank you to Amy Sauve for your production input. Thanks to Tony Hamera for engineering and helping in any way you could. Thanks to Tempermill Studios in Ferndale, MI. Thank you to everybody involved in this project. I couldn''t do this without you.
