Marla Lopez AKA "LA LA" was introduced and exposed to many different kinds of music growing up, ranging from Mariachi and Classic Rock to Hip Hop and R&B. At the tender age of 3 her mother noticed her passion for music and her family soon encouraged her to pursue a musical journey. Getting her start singing at Fiestas and school talent shows she began to show singing abilities beyond her years. At the age of 9 she won a full scholarship to Plaza Three Academy, one of the South Wests largest Talent Agencies. She also continued to perform for record crowds at State Fairs across the SouthWest and speak to her peers at schools and Detention Centers with great response. Marla won the first ever New Mexico Hispanic Association Talent Show, which allowed her to record her first solo CD, made up of classic Spanish Ballads. That year she also performed at the NM Music Awards with Master of Ceremonies George Lopez. Since then she has released a second Spanish CD with great response from Spanish Radio. With two Spanish Language CDs under her belt she was ready to achieve her next goal, something she had dreamed for a long time, recording a R&B album. At the same time she had a chance encounter with one of the biggest names in the Rap Game rapper NOSLEEP, who was then putting the finishing touches on his latest project "The Master Plan". Marla''s arrival to mainstream Hip Hop was finally here. She was featured on NOSLEEP''S hit single "WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO" which topped the charts for three consecutive weeks over some of Mainstreams Biggest Names. While still working towards her solo album Marla and Nosleep dropped another HIT SINGLE entitled "LOVE 2 HATER" off of Nosleeps highly popular "GHETTO ICON" CD which hit nation wide under the biggest record label in New Mexico "Rip Em Up Productions". From that day forth Marla Lopez has worked with some of the biggest names in the Chicano/Latino Rap Game. Names such as Wicked Minds, Slow Pain, and Baby Bash. Now flashing forward, Marla is now ready to release her R&B debut entitled "ROC WIT U" being released under her own Company "URBAN GURL ENTERTAINMENT". Working with Famed Producer MIKE CEE from the The Arkiteks Music Group (Who''s credits include Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Baby Face to name a few) With the musical collaboration from none other than the incomparable Singer/Songwriter DAVID WADE, Under the direction of her Mentor the Chart Topping Rapper NOSLEEP, and with every song from "ROC WIT U" written straight from Marla''s heart this album is sure to be a success!!
