Hailing from the town of Florence, South Carolina, Big Vigor tha Grizzly started rapping in 2001 under the name "Young Phillie" in a group called Money & Murder. After a while, the group disbanded, giving him a chance to step into the foreground as Big Vigor tha Grizzly. Gaining popularity performing in local clubs and freestyle battling, he began getting notoriety inside & out of his state. He then hooked up with a popular radio personality/dj/producer, Encore, & began working on his "Pound 4 Pound" project. This project, that sold well and is still in rotation, led the Grizzly Man to be recognized by labels such as Universal, TVT, Interscope, Jive, & more. Weighing his options, Big Vigor tha Grizzly, still resides in the Kak working on music for all groups, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Soul, etc., as well as an underground movie, books as well as other forms of entertainment forms under his imprint, Tyrant Entertainment. Big Vigor stands along side his brother, Str8 Drop, who introduced him to everything that he knows, as well as they incredibly lyrically talented long time friend, Triggafinger. Together, they form the Grizzly Cartel, or the Grizzly C. Big Vigor tha Grizzly anxiously awaits the day that he can release his major label album: Earthquake 9.0., as well as future projects.
