Details:
IGOR SPECTRE is from Hollywood, California, USA. Influenced by the likes of The Damned, The Pixies, T-Rex, and The New York Dolls, Igor''s blend of black humor and 70''s and 80''s rock''n''roll ends up seeming eerily reminiscent of Barnabus Collins meets dinner theatre.

Halloween 2004 marks the release of Igor Spectre''s first LP, WE MISS THE RUSSIANS, a 15-song, 60-minute cinematic sonic boom of rock and roll and dark humor. WE MISS THE RUSSIANS isn''t your average, run-of-the-mill first release where every track sounds the same. Over a year in the making, Igor Spectre has brewed up a slew of well-crafted, original songs which are as vibrantly unique from one another as the band themselves.

From CALLING ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE (NIGHT), POLTERGUY, and FANGS OUT FIRST, satirical souped-up death rock anthems, to OPHELIA JONES and PARISH LIGHTS, two subtle homages to the pompous glam thunder of the likes of T. Rex and Gary Glitter, to the eclectic and dynamic cabaret commentaries on the futility of romance, NO REPLY, LOVE IS FATE and THE GIRL WITH THE WANDERING EYE, Igor Spectre delivers a fresh new character of musicality with every track.

Self-recorded in a 15''x10'' sweatbox in Glendale called The Jewdio from July 2003 through September 2004, WE MISS THE RUSSIANS was then crafted into rock gold by legendary audio guru EARLE MANKEY for mixing and mastering. Mankey, formerly of The Sparks, is known for having masterfully recorded, mixed, and/or produced bands such as The Adicts, The Skulls, Concrete Blonde, The Cramps, The Beach Boys, The Troggs, The Runaways, The Lazy Cowgirls, and many many more from his underground Thousand Oaks studio / bomb shelter.

Having played on the same bill with the likes of The Black Keys, The Skulls, The Stitches, Nikki Sudden, The Lords of Altamont, and ADHD, Igor Spectre''s mandate ("bandate?") is to bring rock and roll back onto the dark and satirical and fun road it used to travel, paved by the likes of The Damned, Meatloaf, David Bowie, 45 Grave, and many others, while simultaneously blazing new trails of songwriting and rock artistry. With a host of catchy, well-crafted songs, Igor Spectre''s out to pry open the all-too stagnant crypt of genre ("rock," "punk," "goth," "deathrock,") and let in a breath of fresh electric air, never pandering to expectations of milieu. With influences ranging from The New York Dolls to Bauhaus to Radiohead to Van Halen, these gents have got many a trick up their sleeve, and aren''t comfortable with being just another genre band. Every live show is different. And every song on their new album "WE MISS THE RUSSIANS" has a character all its own.

We cordially invite you to grab your cheap plastic fangs, crank up the hi-fi, and ride an electric rocket back to the dark side of rock and roll. Grab your copy of IGOR SPECTRE - WE MISS THE RUSSIANS! Now available!
