Formed in Columbus, OH in late 2006, Take No Damage began making the kind of pop music they''d always wanted to hear. Combining elements from all their musical interests, they recorded their first full-length album, "Mushroom Clouds and Silver Linings", in early 2007. The band had only been recording together for several months before doing the album, and they had never once played together live. After recording the album, they began the hard work of translating the layered and multi-faceted songs into live performance material. After losing one band member, the remaining trio focused on new material, and the result was "The Shambles EP", recorded less than a year after the release of "Mushroom Clouds". "The Shambles EP" finds the band with a bit of a rawer sound than the first go round, mostly influenced by the constant band rehearsals and live performances after their first album. While their is more of a live feel, there''s still plenty of the noisy electronics and strange samples that helped define their first record. With a whole new batch of songs ready to go, Take No Damage hope to release another ep this fall, followed by their second full-length in winter of 2009.
