Shikandaza is a traditional Japanese musical ensemble that has entered the world of Smooth Jazz. In fact together with Canadian producer Ian McGregor Smith, this group has created a new genre of music called "Japanese Jazz". Using a mixture of western and Japanese scales, modalities and instruments Shikandaza has created a unique voice in the world of music in this CD entitled "On The Bridge". Shikandaza has performed the music from this CD in Jazz festivals around the world to standing ovations.
