A refreshing new band bringing classic rock back. Elements of Southern and Modern Rock are smoothly intertwined, they have Rockers and the all mighty Ballad. Quickly making a name for themselves on the scene. They will be on the road at the end of this year, when they complete the debut album, ''Vol. I''.
John Curry (Lead Vocals, Rhythm/Lead Guitar, Keys), Jody McCormick (Lead Vocals, Keys, Programming), Daniel Wills (Backing Vocals, Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Bass, Drums, Programming)
A new band from Miami, FL. Cowboy Cadillac was formed by three musicians who were all writing music and all wanting to be in a band, but until now had been in various arrangements of the wrong band. Now John, Jody and Daniel are together, their collaboration has quickly gained them fans around the world. In their first week of being on line Cowboy Cadillac had 3000 hits on their ReverbNation page, and countless fan mail on their facebook and myspace pages, from all corners of the globe stating that this band is a breath of fresh air and at last what they have been looking and waiting for, for a long time.
Their mixture of influences and musical tastes is definitely a key factor to their sound; though it is also the common appreciation of melody and classic song writing formulas passed down from their piers and idols that comes through in the music.
John Curry had a band called Goneblind who in 2004 were signed to Roadrunner, only to have their album shelved. The band toured and struggled by but was inevitably doomed by the record companies decision not to push them. After touring with Creed on a U.S. and Canadian tour, Scott Stapp (Lead Singer of Creed) got in touch with Goneblind asking if they would consider being the members of his solo band. They agreed and went into the studio in 2005 to record ''The Great Divide''. They toured that band for a year. In 2007, Scott planned to do another album, though the band had dismembered.
This was the point John and Daniel met, as Daniel was brought in to play bass and help to write and produce the album. That album was never released and now John, Jody and Daniel have formed Cowboy Cadillac!!
Daniel Wills, son of bass player Rick Wills (Foreigner, Bad Company, David Gilmour) grew up in London, but moved to L.A. in 2001 to pursue a career in music. Jamming and writing with many different acts like 27MILES, Hypnogaja and White Starr, Daniel made many friends in the Hollywood music scene. In 2004 he met his wife-to-be who was from sunny Miami, and proceeded to move there to live. Now Daniel has finished working on Scott Stapp''s second solo album, which was to no avail, he is putting all efforts into Cowboy Cadillac. Doing the graphic design work as well as helping to complete the music Daniel and CC hope to have Cowboy Cadillac merchandise up for sale and start to see the world over get into this hot new act!
Jody McCormick is a musician with a wide range both vocally and influentially. Jody brings Jazz and Southern Rock to the mix adding his soulful vocal inflections and gritty production ideas. Jody has a great ear for melody and is fine tuned to sniffing out a hit!
Cowboy Cadillac will hire a drummer and bass player for their live performances as in the studio the three of them have pretty much every instrument covered.
