Fronted by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Johnny James, this South Jersey trio performs passionate songs of modern, intimate worship bringing a message full of hope to both believers and non-believers alike of all ages.
Committed to a Christian lifestyle, Johnny and his band members: keyboardist & worship leader, Jonathan Price; and bassist & youth leader, Bill Link; seek to fulfill the Great Commission through music and exemplary living.
The Johnny James Jam was birthed within the walls of Riverbank Recording Studio in Mays Landing, NJ out of Johnny''s need for additional musicians to complete his album. Initially intended as a solo project, Johnny utilized his mentor, Bill Link, to play bass on six tracks, and called upon his friend Jonathan Price to handle the keys, on which Jonathan played piano, strings, percussion, and drums.
The trio, who had been playing with each other on the His Hands Ministries worship team, realized the potential of playing together as a band, and soon starting performing together as the Johnny James Jam. The name was chosen to feature frontman Johnny James, and as a reference to the extended jams the band enters into during its times of spontaneous worship.
Johnny is currently hard at work writng songs for the next album. Being in his senior year of high school, he plans to go to trade school as soon as he graduates.
Jonathan was the amatuer East Coast champion motocross enduro racer in 2003, and is an avid hunter, skier, and surfer. Jonathan recently married his beautiful bride Theresa. The newlyweds live on Long Beach Island, NJ.
Bill teaches at Bethel Christian School, books Christian bands and movies through his Blood Bought Booking venture, manages Christian Rock Radio, WXGN, 90.5, and plans on opening a totally digital tutoring center.
The songs recorded on this album, were all written by Johnny James, and most heard for the first time by Jonathan and Bill as they played on them. Hats off to Bill Christman for his contributions to the band, playing bass on the track, "Your Glory" & for his invaluable advice in the studio. Bill, we love you, man!!!
Expect an album experience that will cause listeners to respond in a positive manner towards the Lord God, Jesus Christ, as the band follows Jonny''s unique vocal stylings, and aggressive guitar playing, by weaving in Bill''s solid bass lines, and Jonathan''s modern rhythmic and melodic keyboard work.
