Details:
BUCKFAST SUPERBEE—emotional, powerful and convincing are just some of the words that closely follow this super-charged San Diego quartet’s name. One of the most watched bands in the southern California music scene; you’d better catch these guys while you can still afford to see them. With all the attention and critical acclaim this band attracts, it’s only a matter of time until they’re considered one of California’s’ best musical exports.

Buckfast Superbee is on tour now supporting their new release: TURN OF THE RADIO AGE. Recorded and Produced by Pall Jenkins (Three Mile Pilot, Black Heart Procession) and mixed by Joe Marlett (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age), T.O.T.R.A is a 13 song thrill ride proving to be the bands best work to date by far. The guitars and undeniable hooks are full effect for the duration of the record but also a sense that these guys aren’t your average rockers. The lyrics point to much more introspective and at times a downright satirical train of thought. From the opening hyper-drive of “The Heavy Persuader” to the epic soaring and anthem-worthy pounding of the records closer: “Pitch vs. Rotation”, BfSb didn’t miss a chance to grab you in ways you weren’t expecting. This is a great rock record in a time when not so great records are the norm. These guys have honestly got it together… now all you need to do is listen to it.

A break from the usual posturing and preening of mainstream rock acts, San Diego CA’s own Buckfast Superbee is the real deal. A rocket ride of a band, these guys will have you sweating and singing before the second chorus of their first song. Buckfast Superbee has spent the last 4 and a half years writing, recording, touring and building a rabid following in California and the surrounding region. The proof is in their gut wrenching live performances where 100% is just a warm up. Their last self-titled record led by the infectious single “Heartbreak Story” went to #4 on national college radio charts and number two on national FM specialty radio charts behind Modest Mouse and Green Day.

With 3 songs from that record placed in Midway’s MLB slugfest for Xbox and Playstation , and 4 songs in the Soundtrack of the full length motion picture“Heroes for a Day” released in 2007, the demand for these guys has grown like the national debt. Now on the cusp of their new full-length release: TURN OF THE RADIO AGE, BfSb is poised to bring the essentials back to popular rock music, unwavering intensity, undeniable melody, and most of all, complete honesty. No amount of flash or fashion can replace art and nobody knows that better than these guys. Buckfast Superbee has shared the stage with the likes of: Foo Fighters, Social Distortion, Incubus, Bad Religion, Rise Against, Local H, Yellowcard, Switchfoot, The Cult, Lit, Unwritten Law, The Wedding Present, Ken Andrews, Jimmy eat world, and the Vines just to name a few.
