Details:
Jackie grew up in Greenwich Village around the cafes, during the ''beatnik'', then "hippie" era of the 50''s and 60''s. The daughter of two artists who met at Cooper Union. She studied classical piano from 6 years old and picked up a guitar at 11 so she could sing in Washington Square Park, hoping to be mistaken for Joan Baez.

She was at the High School of Music and Art when Janis Ian, a year ahead of her, released Society’s Child and she has been a student of the poet/songwriting craft ever since. After a long journey through a white collar professional career, Jackie turned to focus on song writing and performing. In 1998 she released her first self-published album of original songs. Then for several years she performed with an all-woman bluegrass band called “Local Honey”. Subsequently she performed every Sunday over the course of three years at the Hope Market Cafe in Northern Idaho.

Different genres are used in service to the songs: The humor of bluegrass and country, the social commentary of folk, the poignant Eric Satie-type stylings of "Will I Remember". They express emotions and experiences common to many baby boomers: aging, change, love and the refusal to go quietly.

The album was recorded at the Manhattan Producer’s Alliance in New York City with Producer Wade Tonken who also lends his considerable skills as a guitarist to the song arrangements.

Jackie says “During the last ten years I have been on a path of taking things apart to get to my own sources of inspiration; exploring an internal landscape that is sometimes foreign, sometimes dark - but always beautiful in song."
