My Name is Michael DiGiambattista, but they call me Mac. I always had a love for piano, but at the age of 13 I became the drummer/singer in my first rock band. After releasing a CD, the band broke up and that’s when I realized at the age of 15 I was destined to do it on my own. From my love of playing the piano, I taught myself how to play guitar, and bass. I already knew how to play drums (starting at age 10), so I decided to write my own album from the heart. This album includes all my feelings from the past year and all that has happened. That’s how the band name came about “This Year”. With the help and support of my Dad, who is also a talented musician, he guided and helped me in the production and recording of my music. I hoped I could create a band with my own hands and in my head that people could relate to. Being around and enjoying music since I was in 3rd grade, I really wanted to give people something to enjoy and understand. I am only 16 years old at this point, but I look forward to moving ahead with what I''ve created.
