During the 80’s Thruster was one of Cincinnati’s premier Heavy Metal bands. Along with CJSS, CHASTAN, PRIZONER AND AFTERSHOCK, the band played to packed houses all over town including Bogart’s, Annie’s and Never on Sundays. They opened up for such greats as FASTWAY, SAXON, OVERKILL, TED NUGENT and KEEL. In 1985 they released the single “Back In Time” with the flipside “Excellorater” on Fraternity Records a local independent label based in Cincinnati. Both songs were recorded at the famous Counterpart Creative Studios and were Engineered and Co-Produced by Dale "Smitty" Smith. The single went on to become one of the most requested tunes ever released by a local Metal band.
