Kadet''s electronic music is composed of ambient layers and percussive, glitchy textures. Her compositions are built from her extensive library of field recordings, sound effects and Gibson electric guitar samples which she processes beyond recognition.
Kadet released her full-length, solo CD ''Seismic'' in 2001, was released on a compilation CD ''Mono:Poly'' by Asphodel and Gench music labels in 2003, and now has this new, full-length CD, co-released with Current Recordings.
The tracks on ''THIN AIR'' are comprised of the sounds in ''Sensorium,'' an interactive, audiovisual installation created in collaboration with Reto Schmid/testrun. Each track is associated with one of the virtual rooms in Sensorium which are based on the RGB color spectrum.
