Naked Demos
"Naked Demos" is a compilation of songs that capture the Outlaw Country roots of Alan Ross Haynes. It scans recordings from 2003 to 2008, utilizing three different sound engineers, but all mastered and produced under the guidance of the extremely gifted Mark Dann of Mark Dann Recordings.
Some of the songs- mostly the newest- are bare bones productions, incorporating only guitar, vocal, and bass (and brilliant piano work by Melissa Holland!). Thus the cd title. Others incorporate harmonica, vocal harmonies, percussion, keyboards, and the slide electric mastery of Vito Petrocitto.
And yes, Alan appears on the cover wearing only a guitar.
This is Rockabilly Outlaw Country Americana ranging from
love songs to portraits of rural America to piercing laugh-out-loud satire.
