Details:
Formerly known as Lucid Evening Sky, Andy Vought (pronounced "vote") has written, recorded and produced his second album entitled "Where Moonlight Resides," in his home studio in Norfolk, Virginia. The recording took place between January and April of 2008. Departing from the full band type of sound on his first album, Lucid Evening Sky, Andy drew on the influences of artists he had been listening to like Mark Kozelek, Sufjan Stevens and Nick Drake to create a more minimal solo acoustic sound.
Andy’s decision to pare down his sound was mostly due to a desire to create a more intimate listening experience that more closely matched his live sound as a solo acoustic performer.

If there is one word we would use to describe this album that word would be...inspired. Independently recorded, produced, and released, Where Moonlight Resides is a surprisingly mature and listenable album. And unlike almost every other home recording artist in the United States, Andy Vought is not writing and recording upbeat catchy pop. Instead, his tunes are surprisingly sparse, restrained, genuine, and personal. Andy knows just how to piece his songs together in such a way as to get the point across...without annoying unnecessary details getting in the way. His restrained acoustic guitar sounds are excellent. We hate not adding a link here, but at this point Vought only has a https://www.tradebit.com web site (and we don''t link to that site). Instead, here is a contact e-mail address: andyyv1@https://www.tradebit.com. A very talented young fellow with an uncanny knack for writing honest, personal, real music. (Rating: 4+++++)
