Details:
Angela was born on November 28, 1980 in Dayton, OH and grew up in Northridge, a neighborhood north of Dayton. Once she could read and write she began writing poems and short stories. Around 6 years old she watched Barbra Streisand’s first movie Funny Girl and became hooked on her first idol. Ever since hearing that famous line “Hello, gorgeous.” she knew she wanted to be a singer, actress, performer…well, everything.

She didn’t make the leap to writing songs until hearing Alanis Morissette’s “You Outta Know” in 1995. It was at that moment she realized she could combine her two great loves - poetry and music - to make something entirely her own.

Throughout school she participated in a writing club, chorus, and theatre. During her freshmen and sophomore years she had 5 poems published nationally, but she chose to focus on the art of songwriting and making music. She won the lead roles in the drama “Picnic” and the comedy “The Butler Did It,” in her junior and senior year, respectively.

She was classically trained by an accomplished opera singer for almost 3 years during high school. Three days after graduating high school she moved to Orlando, FL to pursue her music career. However, that wasn’t her first job. She worked at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom portraying various characters, and performed in the comedy play “God’s Favorite” during that time.

Her first song Awaken was recorded in 2002 with Paul Harlyn at Harlyn Studios, Orlando. Later that summer, she spent a few weeks in Mexico City to work with producer/rock musician, Rogelio Gomez, and his two arrangers, Linus Perya and William Martinez, to produce and record her first demo. Even with that she felt she lacked the proper footing and timing to release her material, so she waited. A few years later of songwriting, arranging, and building more on what she started, she felt it was time to finally record a full length album.

That same year Angela auditioned for the prestigious American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City. She was accepted and would begin February 2003. However, spending several weeks in a studio made her desperate to learn more. She felt that since she was a creative person with her lyrics and music that could extend that to producing and engineering. After careful consideration she decided to forego NYC for Full Sail’s Recording Arts Program. Angela graduated October 2003 with a Recording Arts degree and again in June 2005 with a Bachelor’s in Entertainment.

With the talent and help of producer Jacob Grimes, Angela completed her full length debut album, "23: it''s over" which was released on August 16, 2008.

She currently resides in Dayton and is always writing, singing, and business planning.
