MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
*****Dan Pinto''s involvement in music spans back more than 30 years. In addition to his talents as a multi-instrumentalist on keyboards, drums and percussion he is a seasoned composer, producer and recording engineer. His primary instruments are keyboards and drums with piano as the base writing tool. Dan''s composing styles cross several lines including Orchestral-rock, Jazz-Rock Fusion, New Age and more recently moviesound. He has had many years experience performing live as both a solo artist and band member as well as working professionally as both a live stage and studio musician on each of his primary instruments. As a composer, he releases an average of 1 to 2 albums of material per year. As a recording engineer/producer working out of his own studio, Dan takes complete control over the producton of his music.
*****Influences on his keyboard styles during the early years of his development had included Keith Emerson, John Williams, Chick Corea, Rick Wakeman and Lyle Mays. On drums, it''s Bill Bruford, Carl Palmer, Neil Peart and Ringo Starr. General listening influences are The Beatles, Pat Methany, The Dixie Dreggs, Renaissance, Jean Luc Ponty, Acoustic Alchemy, Pink Floyd, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, The Rolling Stones, The Doors and a host of well known classical music composers.
*****Dan Pinto originally began studying drums at age 11 soon after developing skills as a multi-keyboardist. He spent much of the early days of his career performing with local rock bands on both instruments in and around the New York and New Jersey area club scene. Dan''s live keyboard stage experience included opening up for "Joan Jett and the Blackhearts." Dan Pinto has worked as a drummer in sessions with well known jazz bassist, Dave LaRue and actress/singer Mackenzie Phillips, daughter of John Phillips from "The Mamas and the Papas." In the late 80''s and early 90''s he began performing live as a solo pianist and also as an electronic multi-keyboardist using programmed MIDI sequencers for backup. Pulling back from live gigs after 1992, Dan joined BMI and focused his attention exclusively on composing.
*****Amoung Dan''s earliest writing credits are works created mostly for industrial film and television productions, some of which included A,T & T; RCA; CNN and several local New Jersey cable stations. His music grabbed the attention consistantly for use in Robin Leach''s television series "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" & "Runaway with the Rich & Famous" while simultaniously continuing his studio recording releasing several albums of material on his own.
*****In 1995 Dan began an unusual undertaking when he started producing an idea for a film with little financial support. The motive was to compose the film soundtrack, a task that he completed after 4 years of film production. As a result, "Die For A Life" became his 4th officially released album. This was a very impressive accomplishment for a veteran composer with little experience in the field of motion picture production. While the film was a promotional only release, the music was not as the CD is available for purchase.

ABOUT VISIONS:
*****Dan''s CD, "Visions", available here at https://www.tradebit.com is some of his best compositional work to date! This CD digs deep into what Dan''s music is all about demonstrating how well he''s mastered the different styles that he has acquired over the years. A terrific mix of both Jazz-Rock Fusion and New Age Classical as well as great ballad melodies with the focus on piano and light orchestration. It''s music that really stirs the imagination. And that''s the reason why Dan''s music is so right for motion pictures because it plays to the visual aspects so well.
