Jacqueline Eugennie Thomas, a.k.a. Jet is a singer/song writer currently living in Toronto Canada. She was born in the small district of Cumberland, Jamaica in the parish of Clarendon. Jacqueline’s love of gospel music started when at the age of 11 years she got involved in the local church in her hometown and started singing in the church choir. Jacqueline developed a love for writing and found that she was able to release much of her childhood frustrations by writing and singing her thoughts to God. In 1987 she migrated to Canada and continued singing in her mother’s church choir in Montreal. Since then, she has performed in numerous mass choirs in Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. Sadly, on January 13, 2007, Jacqueline lost her Grandmother, Ruby Campbell to pneumonia just before her planned trip to Jamaica later that year. At the funeral, she sang Truly, Truly, one of the many songs she had written. She had several requests for the song thereafter which resulted in this her first album entitled Intimate Place, completed as a tribute to her grandmother. This album is sure to pull you in. With lyrics so compelling, you are sure to fall in love with this one.
