Kina displays a unique style of reciting her poetry, and is widely known for her inspirational parables and mottos. You won''t find her confined to a microphone, but instead lovingly interacting with her audiences. Kina is fueled by a burning passion to teach young people to seek their purpose in God, often reminding her audiences to "Give God your youth, He don''t need your leftovers...serve God while you have a chance." She serves as Vice President of a production company, along side her husband Thomas Bagley, Jr. Founder of King James Productions Ministries, where they produce Hip-Hop, R&B Gospel artists, and various other talents that allow young persons to serve God in a dramatic way.
Kina displays her boldness and radical nature for God in many artistic ways, whether it be poetry, acting, dancing, songwriting, rapping, evangelizing, or even serving as a personal trainer to help people improve their overall health and promote the well-being of the Christian community. Those who have experienced her performances know one can never be sure what she may say or do when she ministers. In March 2001, Kina began a campaign, Taking Christ Mobile, to evangelize on public transportation in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Obeying the voice of God, in April 2003, Shakina started her tape ministry which is based on "Faith, Wisdom and Favor" (F.W.F), the three keys for the youth to be successful in life so that the youth and young adults can hear a Word from God on their level. She currently attends Bible College at the Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS), to receive her Bachelor Degree in Human Services.
Her single First Love is currently being played on local radio stations, while she completes work on her first album, Only One (1) Of Me. Her goal is to continue traveling and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through rap, speaking engagements/workshops and her poetry.
Shakina states, "My poetry has one purpose. To convict hearts, convince minds and touch souls for Christ."
