The Kinder Scale is a Portland based band, and is the long awaited project of singer/songwriter Ezekiel Goodrick. Ezekiel has been apart several Portland based bands, starting with: Purgatory, Blueroom5, Six Foot Sam, Zeke and the Pop All-stars, and finally The Kinder Scale.
March 2004,"The Kinder Scale" was born. Singer/songwriter Ezekiel Goodrick (guitar), Bass player Darren Stout, and Drummer Eric Mereiter infuse there talents to make what appear to be a dynamite sound. Stylistically TKS stands alone, but are influenced by groups and artists such as; Live, Incubus, John Mayer, DMB, The Darkness, Robert Gulay, Sade, U2, and Edwin McCain to name a few.
TKS''s debut EP, released in April of 2005 entitled, "Sounds like The Kinder Scale" was recorded at Setec Recording Studios in Portland with producers Joe Mengez and Kyle Lockwood. The disc contains 6 original tracks each with a distinct perspective on love, life, misunderstanding, and being a playa''.
The Kinder Scale is currently involved with Radio Contaband, an exclusive A&R radio website that is limited to label ready bands including several other Portland bands (Velabons, The Mediam, Camaro Hair, and Climber).
