It may be her voice. It may be her songwriting. It may be her persona. There is something about poetic pop singer-songwriter Liz Clark that simply attracts. One can''t help but see oneself mirrored in Liz''s poetry, melody and writing.
" A lot of the content evokes that fragile feeling of being in-between, un-sure, and on the brink. But also feeling happy with where you are, at that moment. That maybe there''s no better place to be than unsure," Liz says of her new album.
A Colorado Native but now based in New York City, Liz Clark is already a touring veteran in the music industry, traveling and bringing her crystalline tone and charismatic stage presence to both the USA and Europe on a full time basis. Liz loves the performance aspect of her career, whether it is an intimate venue (Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall) for her fans or sold out concert halls and festivals. Liz has performed alongside such amazing talent as Ritchie Havens, Linda Perry, The Counting Crows, Joe Walsh and Bob Shneider. She has gained respect in Ireland touring with Singer Songwriter Tessa Perry as well as touring in the US as part of the female trio "Girl Parts" with Julie Loyd and Melineh Kurdian.
In 2005, Liz released her critically acclaimed sophomore album "Hand On The Stove" on PommierMusic with praises from press nationwide. Harris Radio stated that "Hand On The Stove is a great collection of accessible, catchy, clever folk/rock tunes" and Indie Sounds NY proclaimed Liz as "musical talent that demonstrates just how natural being a star is for her."
Germany''s Der Hospiegel also added that "[Hand On The Stove] is a brilliant folky pop rock album." During this time, Liz released her first music video "Who''s Your Angel" which got picked up by MTV''s LOGO Network, HBO Zone, Lady Footlockers and many more outlets. The video single went out to be voted #3 on LOGO Top 10 countdown "The Click List" and Liz hosted their video show "NewNowNext."
