Details:
“I will give Thee thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to Thee before the Gods”. Psalm 138:1.

Lolita Moore, a native of Oakland, California, began singing and writing poems and songs when she was eight years old. Lolita was a member of the All Nations Pentecostal Children’s Church choir where the now world renown Hawkins singers started their music ministry. Influenced by Walter, Edwin and Tramaine Hawkins, who wrote and produced the mega hit “Oh Happy Day”, Lolita began singing in the children’s choir under the direction of her eldest sister, Evelyn Gladney, of the Gladney Sisters, a gospel family singing group. It was shortly there after, that Ms. Moore became recognized as one of the choir’s lead soloist.

This anointed musical talent is a preachers’ kid, born with the gift of writing songs. Although Lolita recalls writing and storing many of her songs away at an early age, it was not until she was eighteen years old that she realized her talent as a songwriter, after writing and arranging her first published song, “Do You Know The Man?”

Lolita has over twenty-six years of Christian and ministry experience serving as a missionary, praise and worship leader, choir director, prayer warrior and a Sunday school teacher. She received the filling of the Holy Spirit at thirteen years of age, which heightened her desire to Minister Gods’ word through her gift of song.

Lolita’s gift made room for her in both her junior high and high school choirs where she received unanimous acceptance and recognition for outstanding performances rendered in school programs, recitals and in local Bay Area competitions.

This unique and exception vocal talent is the recipient of numerous first place awards which ultimately lead to her receiving a singing scholarship. Her rich alto vocal quality and sincere performances presented her with various acknowledgements and career opportunities. Miss Moore was also recognized in a Bay Area Publication for singing performance/s that led to her title as Miss Oakland in the Miss California Teen Pageant during her youth. One of the highlights of this time was her guest appearance and performance on the then popular Dorothy Mullen’s television show.

Lolita has since this time, grown and developed into a soulful Gospel Recording artist with a smooth alto, contralto range and with a specific purpose. “I sing to encourage, inspire and to inform others about God’s goodness”. Lolita receives rave reviews from the Oakland Post, which publicized her successful live performance at the Black Expo, in Sacramento, California, where she performed in front of 30,000 gospel listeners. She is also heralded by the Oakland Post for her multiple talented performances at the Berkeley Juneteenth festival in Berkeley, California.

Despite offers to record her music, Lolita postponed her musical aspirations to provide stability for her family. She continues, however, to participate in music ministry as both lead and background vocalist and continues her spiritual journey on her sophomore CD titled Inspired, which is a new and refreshing blend of various genre influences wrapped into a unique Gospel music experience.
