Inez "Nez" Benson A.K.A. "KOSHA", is a 28yr old female from the southside of Chicago who began her musical and lyrical experience as a young child where she played several different instruments in the school band throughout her school years and participated in many poetry contests. It was not until January of 2004 when she decided that she would take a shot at the music industry. She along with a long time friend from college worked to put together her home studio. Inez had no prior experience working with any recording equipment whatsoever, but not letting this discourage her, she decided to buy and read books on the subject. She also completed a home study course offered by the Audio Institute of America. Alone, she began recording tracks and laying her own vocals. "Pimpalicious" is her very first recorded song in which she entirely arranged on her own. Seeing the positive reaction to this song, she completed "Hatin on Me" and "Rollin" within the comforts of her home studio. Inez, I mean "KOSHA", is on a mission to shock the music industry. When asked "who do you compare yourself to"? she replies, "No one, I don''t think i particularly sound like any other female rapper, I don''t have a main style of rap, I just rhyme about whatever comes to mind and that can vary from hardcore gansta rap to dance rap. It''s whatever flows." Kosha is currently working on her entire album solo because she feels that it would help her to be well rounded in all the aspects of recording. You must get this EP! Kosha works hard, given the fact that she still works a very demanding full time job outside of recording music, she has come a long way since January 2004.
